Well, preparations for 2011 season are still under way piece by piece. I owe JR Herrera my UFO driver that saved my engine from complete destruction. He was giving a ride to a spectator in Price, Utah and the engine lost oil pressure. He shut her down really fast. This kept any serious damage from happening. We tore it down with Phil and Don Baker last night and the only damage was to the front side bearings. All major parts were 100%. $500 in parts and we are ready to put her together again! So order in placed and the big engine mess sits in the shop, haha!

It is a week long challenge and whoever comes out on top will get to drive the #43 ARCA NASCAR in a televised race. How exciting does that sound?! I am stoked to have this opportunity and can not wait until April. We will spend the week split up into half days – Skid cars, Race go-carts(endurance, USAC Midgets on a 1/4 mile track, NASCAR on a 5/8 mile track, Dodge Viper on a road course, NASCAR on a road course, COT NASCAR on Lowes Motor Speedway, and Celebrity Interview and Press Conference. Gonna be a crazy week and then I fly back into Aztec, NM for the FRI, SAT race as the first Wild West Modified Tour race of the season. So fun!

We are entering the 2011 season with high hopes! We will be following the Wild West Tour again this year with hopes of a championship. We gained a lot of momentum at the end of last year and are hoping to continue that progress thru 2011. Addiction Chassis has come on board and we will be in their brand new 2011 Chassis for the season. JR Herrera is the builder and will be our crew chief thru the season. He was with us all season last year and was responsible for a lot of our progress. We are starting the season on April 22-23 in Aztec, NM and then 2 weeks later will be heading to Santa Maria, CA. In Santa Maria I actually will not be driving the Addiciton Chassis number 8 but rather Ron Capps will be, the NAPA NHRA Funny Car driver. We will be down there as his support staff and crew trying to get the Addiction Chassis in the winners circle. Then from their we go to Price, UT 2 weeks later again for another Wild West Modified race. Gonna be a fun start to the season with lots of traveling!!!
